Pop Mart: recalls and official safety alerts

30 EU Safety Gate alerts concern products recorded under the brand Pop Mart. The first dates from 10 September 2025, the latest from 2 July 2026. In the last four complete quarters there were 28, up from 2 in the four quarters before. The hazards named most often are choking (60%) and chemical (50%). Read from the official risk descriptions, the most common reasons are small parts or stuffing can be swallowed (60%), restricted chemical above the legal limit (50%) and lead in solder or components (3%). 77% were for products made in China. The products flagged most are soft toys and plush (97%). 37% of the EU alerts were marked as sold online, and 20% name an online marketplace, most often Shein, Temu and Allegro. The most common outcome was recalled from consumers (70% of EU alerts); 37% included a measure ordered by an authority. The EU alerts were notified most often by the authorities of Germany (23%), Estonia (23%) and Austria (7%). Chemicals named in the official risk descriptions include phthalates and lead.
