Primark: recalls and official safety alerts

22 EU Safety Gate alerts concern products recorded under the brand Primark. The first dates from 16 January 2020, the latest from 24 September 2026. In the last four complete quarters there were 6, up from 4 in the four quarters before. The hazards named most often are chemical (59%), choking (32%) and environment (14%). Read from the official risk descriptions, the most common reasons are restricted chemical above the legal limit (59%), small parts or stuffing can be swallowed (23%) and lead in solder or components (5%). 86% were for products made in China, 5% were for products made in India and 5% were for products made in Ireland. The products flagged most are dummies and dummy clips (9%), rattles and baby toys (9%) and balloons (5%). 0% of the EU alerts were marked as sold online, and 0% name an online marketplace. The most common outcome was recalled from consumers (95% of EU alerts); 9% included a measure ordered by an authority. Chemicals named in the official risk descriptions include nickel, chromium (VI) and phthalates.
