eBay Chemical products recall list
19 official alerts and recalls concern chemical products sold on eBay: 13 from EU Safety Gate and 6 from US CPSC. The first dates from 18 March 2020, the latest from 10 September 2026. The hazards named most often are chemical (100%), burns (26%) and other health risk (16%). Read from the official risk descriptions, the most common reasons are restricted chemical above the legal limit (53%), missing warnings or child-resistant closure (53%) and too flammable (11%). 42% were for products made in United States, 32% were for products made in China and 5% were for products made in Italy. The most common outcome was removed from online marketplace (38% of EU alerts); 31% included a measure ordered by an authority. Chemicals named in the official risk descriptions include lead, methanol and nickel.
