Tedi: recalls and official safety alerts

37 EU Safety Gate alerts concern products recorded under the brand Tedi. The first dates from 26 February 2020, the latest from 28 April 2026. In the last four complete quarters there were 3, down from 5 in the four quarters before. The hazards named most often are chemical (65%), choking (22%) and electric shock (8%). Read from the official risk descriptions, the most common reasons are restricted chemical above the legal limit (68%), small parts or stuffing can be swallowed (24%) and lead in solder or components (3%). 81% were for products made in China and 5% were for products made in Germany. The products flagged most are earrings (32%), necklaces, bracelets and rings (14%) and lamps and led lights (5%). 0% of the EU alerts were marked as sold online, and 0% name an online marketplace. The most common outcome was recalled from consumers (84% of EU alerts); 51% included a measure ordered by an authority. The EU alerts were notified most often by the authorities of Germany (70%), Slovakia (8%) and Croatia (8%). Chemicals named in the official risk descriptions include nickel, cadmium and phthalates.
