8 EU Safety Gate alerts concern hand tools sold on Amazon. The first dates from 4 March 2025, the latest from 30 September 2026. In the last four complete quarters there were 5, up from 3 in the four quarters before. The hazards named most often are injuries (100%) and damage to sight (12%). Read from the official risk descriptions, the most common reasons are tips over or lets the user fall (38%) and breaks or collapses (25%). 88% were for products made in China. The most common outcome was import rejected at the border (88% of EU alerts); 100% included a measure ordered by an authority. The EU alerts were notified most often by the authorities of Northern Ireland (88%) and Austria (12%).
