37 official alerts and recalls concern helmets sold on Amazon: 9 from EU Safety Gate and 28 from US CPSC. The first dates from 21 August 2020, the latest from 24 September 2026. In the last four complete quarters there were 13, up from 4 in the four quarters before. The hazards named most often are injuries (100%), burns (3%) and chemical (3%). Read from the official risk descriptions, the most common reasons are protective equipment does not protect (14%), button cells or batteries are accessible (3%) and overheats, melts or short-circuits (3%). 92% were for products made in China. The most common outcome was removed from online marketplace (67% of EU alerts); 22% included a measure ordered by an authority.
