Joom Toys recall list
25 EU Safety Gate alerts concern toys sold on Joom. The first dates from 17 December 2021, the latest from 27 March 2026. The hazards named most often are choking (52%), chemical (40%) and suffocation (28%). Read from the official risk descriptions, the most common reasons are small parts or stuffing can be swallowed (52%), restricted chemical above the legal limit (44%) and plastic packaging too thin (28%). 60% were for products made in China. The most common outcome was removed from online marketplace (68% of EU alerts); 4% included a measure ordered by an authority. The EU alerts were notified most often by the authorities of France (36%), Malta (32%) and Sweden (16%). Chemicals named in the official risk descriptions include phthalates, lead and nitrosamines.
