PLASTROL: recalls and official safety alerts

10 EU Safety Gate alerts concern products recorded under the brand PLASTROL. The first dates from 20 December 2021, the latest from 11 August 2026. In the last four complete quarters there were 5, up from 3 in the four quarters before. The hazards named most often are electric shock (100%). Read from the official risk descriptions, the most common reasons are non-compliant plug or socket (80%), restricted chemical above the legal limit (30%) and live parts can be touched (10%). 50% were for products made in Poland and 40% were for products made in China. The products flagged most are extension leads and power strips (80%) and chargers and power adapters (10%). 70% of the EU alerts were marked as sold online, and 0% name an online marketplace. The most common outcome was withdrawn from the market (100% of EU alerts); 70% included a measure ordered by an authority. The EU alerts were notified most often by the authorities of Slovakia (80%) and Lithuania (20%). Chemicals named in the official risk descriptions include lead.
