Construction products: recall list and dangerous-product alerts
62 EU Safety Gate alerts concern construction products. The first dates from 28 January 2021, the latest from 27 August 2026. In the last four complete quarters there were 10, up from 6 in the four quarters before. The hazards named most often are injuries (48%), fire (37%) and asphyxiation (29%). Read from the official risk descriptions, the most common reasons are breaks or collapses (27%), alarm or detector does not work (19%) and too flammable (8%). 37% were for products made in China, 26% were for products made in Germany and 16% were for products made in Poland. 37% of the EU alerts were marked as sold online, and 29% name an online marketplace, most often Amazon, AliExpress and Bol. The most common outcome was withdrawn from the market (65% of EU alerts); 58% included a measure ordered by an authority. Chemicals named in the official risk descriptions include lead, chromium (VI) and PAHs.

By country of origin
Rates divide EU Safety Gate alerts by the value of extra-EU imports in the same customs codes (UN Comtrade, EU-27, converted from US dollars at the ECB annual average rate). They measure how often regulators flag products from this origin against the trade in them, not the share of products that are unsafe.
