In the last four complete quarters there were 4, down from 6 in the four quarters before. The hazards named most often are chemical (81%), choking (19%) and environment (10%). Read from the official risk descriptions, the most common reasons are restricted chemical above the legal limit (86%), small parts or stuffing can be swallowed (10%) and button cells or batteries are accessible (5%). 24% of the EU alerts were marked as sold online, and 14% name an online marketplace, most often Temu, Amazon and Joom. The most common outcome was withdrawn from the market (38% of EU alerts); 62% included a measure ordered by an authority. Chemicals named in the official risk descriptions include phthalates, cadmium and short-chain chlorinated paraffins.
