Dangerous products made in United Arab Emirates

117 EU Safety Gate alerts concern products made in United Arab Emirates. The first dates from 11 May 2022, the latest from 28 July 2026. In the last four complete quarters there were 16, down from 30 in the four quarters before. The hazards named most often are chemical (99%) and environment (1%). Read from the official risk descriptions, the most common reasons are ingredient not allowed in cosmetics (96%), restricted chemical above the legal limit (6%) and allergen not declared on the label (3%). The products flagged most are perfume and eau de toilette (84%), skin-lightening creams (3%) and deodorant (2%). 12% of the EU alerts were marked as sold online, and 8% name an online marketplace, most often Amazon and eBay. The most common outcome was withdrawn from the market (59% of EU alerts); 90% included a measure ordered by an authority. Chemicals named in the official risk descriptions include lilial (BMHCA), lead and cadmium.
