Allergen not declared on the label
63 EU Safety Gate alerts concern products flagged for “allergen not declared on the label”. The first dates from 26 May 2020, the latest from 29 September 2026. In the last four complete quarters there were 27, up from 8 in the four quarters before. The hazards named most often are chemical (98%), microbiological (2%) and other health risk (2%). 25% were for products made in China, 10% were for products made in Spain and 6% were for products made in India. 37% of the EU alerts were marked as sold online, and 16% name an online marketplace, most often Amazon. The most common outcome was withdrawn from the market (68% of EU alerts); 65% included a measure ordered by an authority. Chemicals named in the official risk descriptions include lilial (BMHCA), lead and formaldehyde.
