Dangerous products made in Pakistan

84 EU Safety Gate alerts concern products made in Pakistan. The first dates from 23 December 2019, the latest from 17 September 2026. In the last four complete quarters there were 10, down from 22 in the four quarters before. The hazards named most often are chemical (86%), injuries (8%) and microbiological (5%). Read from the official risk descriptions, the most common reasons are restricted chemical above the legal limit (64%), ingredient not allowed in cosmetics (57%) and microbial contamination (5%). The products flagged most are skin-lightening creams (40%), creams and lotions (6%) and children's clothing (6%). 30% of the EU alerts were marked as sold online, and 5% name an online marketplace, most often Amazon, Zalando and Etsy. The most common outcome was withdrawn from the market (29% of EU alerts); 57% included a measure ordered by an authority. Chemicals named in the official risk descriptions include mercury, chromium (VI) and phthalates.
