Baby carriers, walkers and high chairs on AliExpress: recalls and safety alerts
8 EU Safety Gate alerts concern baby carriers, walkers and high chairs sold on AliExpress. The first dates from 27 January 2026, the latest from 8 July 2026. In the last four complete quarters there were 8, up from 0 in the four quarters before. The hazards named most often are injuries (100%) and suffocation (12%). Read from the official risk descriptions, the most common reasons are tips over or lets the user fall (75%), restricted chemical above the legal limit (25%) and fingers, limbs or head can be trapped (12%). 100% were for products made in China. The most common outcome was removed from online marketplace (100% of EU alerts); 0% included a measure ordered by an authority. The EU alerts were notified most often by the authorities of France (62%) and Germany (38%). Chemicals named in the official risk descriptions include lead.
