Baby carriers, walkers and high chairs on eBay: recalls and safety alerts
9 EU Safety Gate alerts concern baby carriers, walkers and high chairs sold on eBay. The first dates from 3 May 2023, the latest from 8 July 2026. The hazards named most often are injuries (89%) and choking (11%). Read from the official risk descriptions, the most common reasons are tips over or lets the user fall (67%), restricted chemical above the legal limit (11%) and fingers, limbs or head can be trapped (11%). 78% were for products made in China and 11% were for products made in Bulgaria. The most common outcome was removed from online marketplace (56% of EU alerts); 11% included a measure ordered by an authority. Chemicals named in the official risk descriptions include lead.
