Amazon Kitchen and cooking accessories recall list
24 official alerts and recalls concern kitchen and cooking accessories sold on Amazon: 8 from EU Safety Gate and 16 from US CPSC. The first dates from 14 July 2020, the latest from 30 July 2026. In the last four complete quarters there were 7, about the same as the 7 in the four quarters before. The hazards named most often are injuries (46%), burns (29%) and chemical (21%). Read from the official risk descriptions, the most common reasons are breaks or collapses (25%), tips over or lets the user fall (21%) and restricted chemical above the legal limit (17%). 92% were for products made in China, 4% were for products made in United States and 4% were for products made in Italy. The most common outcome was recalled from consumers (38% of EU alerts); 12% included a measure ordered by an authority. The EU alerts were notified most often by the authorities of Germany (75%), Northern Ireland (12%) and France (12%).
