Shein Childcare articles recall list
16 official alerts and recalls concern childcare articles sold on Shein: 13 from EU Safety Gate and 3 from US CPSC. The first dates from 3 May 2024, the latest from 26 May 2026. In the last four complete quarters there were 13, up from 2 in the four quarters before. The hazards named most often are injuries (50%), choking (31%) and strangulation (19%). Read from the official risk descriptions, the most common reasons are tips over or lets the user fall (31%), small parts or stuffing can be swallowed (19%) and breaks or collapses (12%). 94% were for products made in China. The most common outcome was removed from online marketplace (62% of EU alerts); 38% included a measure ordered by an authority. Chemicals named in the official risk descriptions include lead.
