Temu Childcare articles recall list
16 official alerts and recalls concern childcare articles sold on Temu: 13 from EU Safety Gate and 3 from US CPSC. The first dates from 9 March 2023, the latest from 10 September 2026. In the last four complete quarters there were 4, down from 5 in the four quarters before. The hazards named most often are choking (75%), suffocation (19%) and strangulation (12%). Read from the official risk descriptions, the most common reasons are restricted chemical above the legal limit (62%), small parts or stuffing can be swallowed (38%) and breaks or collapses (19%). 69% were for products made in China and 6% were for products made in Germany. The most common outcome was sales ban (46% of EU alerts); 0% included a measure ordered by an authority. Chemicals named in the official risk descriptions include lead, phthalates and cadmium.
