Chemical products from Spain

49 EU Safety Gate alerts concern chemical products made in Spain. The first dates from 10 August 2020, the latest from 30 September 2026. In the last four complete quarters there were 12, down from 14 in the four quarters before. The hazards named most often are chemical (92%), fire (8%) and other health risk (4%). Read from the official risk descriptions, the most common reasons are restricted chemical above the legal limit (71%), missing warnings or child-resistant closure (27%) and too flammable (10%). 55% of the EU alerts were marked as sold online, and 8% name an online marketplace, most often Amazon. The most common outcome was withdrawn from the market (80% of EU alerts); 33% included a measure ordered by an authority. Chemicals named in the official risk descriptions include lead, formaldehyde and nickel.
