52 EU Safety Gate alerts concern products made in Greece. The first dates from 17 December 2019, the latest from 30 September 2026. In the last four complete quarters there were 7, up from 4 in the four quarters before. The hazards named most often are injuries (44%), chemical (31%) and strangulation (27%). Read from the official risk descriptions, the most common reasons are cords or drawstrings can strangle (48%), ingredient not allowed in cosmetics (25%) and restricted chemical above the legal limit (10%). The products flagged most are children's clothing (33%), shampoo, shower gel and soap (8%) and perfume and eau de toilette (6%). 23% of the EU alerts were marked as sold online, and 2% name an online marketplace, most often eMAG. The most common outcome was withdrawn from the market (79% of EU alerts); 94% included a measure ordered by an authority. Chemicals named in the official risk descriptions include lilial (BMHCA), phthalates and lead.
