303 EU Safety Gate alerts concern deodorant. The first dates from 19 October 2021, the latest from 13 August 2026. In the last four complete quarters there were 34, down from 94 in the four quarters before. The hazards named most often are chemical (100%), other health risk (0%) and injuries (0%). Read from the official risk descriptions, the most common reasons are ingredient not allowed in cosmetics (100%), allergen not declared on the label (1%) and restricted chemical above the legal limit (1%). 57% were for products made in Italy, 10% were for products made in United Kingdom and 9% were for products made in Germany. 1% of the EU alerts were marked as sold online, and 1% name an online marketplace, most often Amazon. The most common outcome was sales ban (85% of EU alerts); 98% included a measure ordered by an authority. Chemicals named in the official risk descriptions include lilial (BMHCA) and lead.
