102 EU Safety Gate alerts concern cosmetics made in Netherlands. The first dates from 15 June 2020, the latest from 13 August 2026. In the last four complete quarters there were 15, down from 60 in the four quarters before. The hazards named most often are chemical (99%), other health risk (1%) and injuries (1%). Read from the official risk descriptions, the most common reasons are ingredient not allowed in cosmetics (99%), restricted chemical above the legal limit (3%) and allergen not declared on the label (1%). 2% of the EU alerts were marked as sold online, and 1% name an online marketplace, most often Amazon. The most common outcome was sales ban (80% of EU alerts); 96% included a measure ordered by an authority. Chemicals named in the official risk descriptions include lilial (BMHCA) and boron.
